The origins of the Fabulous Funcie Femmes start with a few burlesque enthusiasts meeting over Mexican food and Margaritas. In 2016, Margot Lugosi invited Pepper Mills, to Studio Exhale to teach her Burlesque 101 workshop. The group was invited to perform at Mill’s Production PEEP! And Lady J, Minx Le Mew and Margot Lugosi were born …. And the rest, as they say, is burlesque history.
Since then, they have not only been Muncie’s first burlesque troupe but also, its source of premier burlesque entertainment. Growing from just a small group of dancers to a full-fledged production, the troupe now boasts a cast of stage, tech and dancer crews. The cast now includes dancers: Margot Lugosi, Minx le Mew, Lady J, Greta Glee, Bettie Nuggs, Dolores Daze, and Charley Sin. Co- Hosts include: Count Funkenstein and Sparky Andersyn. The Fabulous Funcie Femmes Crew include; Kittens: Kiki LaRue, and Mischief. Tech is done by our musical maven, DJ Mecca. Supporting cast include Mr.Mayhem, the Fabulous Funcie Femmes Handler, and Merch Table Brad.
The Fabulous Funcie Femmes have enjoyed entertaining crowds all over Indiana with their enthusiastic and interactive shows. In addition to their traveling shows they also perform every three months at the Mark III Tap Room and the Guardian Brewing Company.
